Perceptive Software Announces Keynote Speaker for Inspire 2008

Perceptive Software is sending in ‘The Rookie’ at its annual ImageNow User Conference.

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (03 Jan 2008) Perceptive Software, Inc., creator of ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, today announced that Jim Morris, a former Major League Baseball player, will be featured as the keynote speaker for Inspire 2008: The ImageNow User Conference.

Inspire 2008 will be held April 20-23 in Phoenix, Ariz., at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. The four-day event was created as a forum to promote knowledge sharing and product information for ImageNow users.

Jim Morris is known to most as the real-life inspiration for the hit Walt Disney film, “The Rookie.” When Morris’s first attempt as a major league baseball pitcher ended abruptly due to injury, his plans for fame and glory took a swift detour. Though struggles followed, Morris eventually found contentment as a high school baseball coach—a role that would unexpectedly lead him back to his major league dream more than a decade later. An unlikely bet with his high school baseball players would find him pitching for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at the age of 35.
